Volunteer Program
At DrawBridge we strive to provide the children we serve with caring, confident, and committed people. Working with an extremely needy population can be challenging, both emotionally and intellectually. We offer training and support to all of our volunteers and facilitators, allowing them to explore the issues that arise as a result of working with homeless and vulnerable children.
Volunteering:
Our art groups rely on the support of our generous volunteers. We could never accomplish all that we do without the commitment and devotion of this special group of people! Our volunteers provide help with group set-up and clean-up, they give children lots of individual attention, and help create a safe, playful, and nurturing place for children to express themselves.
About the Program:
- We ask that volunteers commit to 6 months of service. This provides a much needed sense of consistency for the children we work with.
- We have many positions available in the 7 counties we serve. Availability depends on your schedule and location, as well as the needs of our groups.
- Most of our weekly groups occur for 2 hours on weekday evenings.
