Marriott Marquis Partners with DrawBridge to Support Local Community

With a strong commitment to making a positive impact in its SoMa neighborhood, San Francisco Marriott Marquis has partnered with DrawBridge to raise awareness and funds in support of the city’s growing number of homeless children. The Marriott’s lobby now displays a beautiful panel introducing our organization and the hotel’s plans for community support.

“We recognize the importance of using expressive art as a bridge that connects children in need, not only to their community, but to a wider world of possibilities that includes enhanced creativity, joy, and self-confidence” said Mike Kass, General Manager of San Francisco Marriott Marquis. “We’re proud to be collaborating with such an uplifting organization to help enhance the well-being of these children, giving them a better chance at a successful life.”

The Marriott has adopted one of the DrawBridge art groups in its neighborhood, and, through its engagement with hotel visitors and staff, has already underwritten the weekly art group for 2020. Ongoing efforts include sale of DrawBridge tote bags in the hotel boutique, and a share in the restaurant’s breakfast sales.

Future plans include multiple lobby exhibits featuring artwork created by DrawBridge kids.

We are grateful to the Marriott Marquis team for its enthusiastic support, and look forward to a long partnership of service towards the SoMa community and its children.
