Keeping Connected During Covid-19
In spite of restrictions required by shelter-in-place, DrawBridge is working to make sure the children we serve are still supported and have access to art experiences.
- About 275 personalized care packages with art materials and project ideas have been packed and delivered to many of our sites, with 190 more in the works. These are being distributed to the individual children.
- Where possible, our Facilitators are connecting with their groups online and bringing them art activities.
- We are curating videos and home art projects from other arts organizations, which you can share too! Check them out at drawbridge.org/home-projects.
Our efforts to bring the powerful, positive effects of creative art to homeless and underserved children throughout the Bay Area were recently acknowledged by our site at 626 Mission Bay Boulevard –
“Thankful for DrawBridge, a partner that runs expressive art groups here. To help kids have some fun during Shelter in Place, they recently supplied us with 70 bags of art supplies!”
With your help, we can bridge physical distances and keep reaching out to our DrawBridge family with creativity and compassion.
Is art playing a part in your SIP life? Please let us know how!
Stay safe, healthy and artistic!
